Lloyd “Winn” Darwin Andrews, 62, of West Columbia, SC went home to see his daughter on May 28, 2022. After being diagnosed with stage 4 prostate & lung cancers, Winn was tired and decided he was ready to see his daughter again. He passed peacefully in his lifelong home after receiving hospice care for the last month. Winn was born October 20, 1959 to the late Sallie Regene Andrews (Whiteside) and Lloyd Jackson Andrews. Winn spent his childhood growing up in West Columbia. He attended Brookland-Cayce High School and grew up on the river. Being an only child, Winn created siblings in his next door neighbors Tammy, Kim & Melissa Day. The Day home became a second home for Winn & later a second home for his children as well. He spent the majority of his life living in the same home on Burnham Street and came to raise his three children there as well. Winn spent his early adulthood as a carnie working for Deggeller Attractions, where he ran the crazy ball game. He worked for Deggeller for about 10 years, travelled many places, made lifelong friends and met the mother of his children whilst working there. He finally settled back home in West Columbia where he became a well known handyman. Winn met his soulmate, Sandi, at a local sports bar he frequented, Roadrunners. Winn & Sandi worked part time together at Roadrunners and formed countless friendships over the years. Winn & Sandi were married on June 21, 2003 and created a beautiful life together with their four children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Winn loved his family, the outdoors, gardening, NASCAR, playing pool & working with wood. He was a devoted husband and father and the most loyal friend you could ever ask for. He spent countless days devoted to the care of his special needs daughter, Kayla, but always managed to have time for anyone else who ever needed him. He made sure to teach his children the hard lessons in life with the most love possible and was always only ever a phone call away when needed. Winn leaves behind his loving wife, Sandi Andrews, and his daughter Krystal (Todd) Truett, and two sons Dylan Andrews, & Jeremy (Jennifer) Allers. Winn also leaves behind 12 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Winn was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kayla Andrews as well as his parents, Lloyd Jackson Andrews & Sallie Regene Whiteside. A Celebration of Life will be held for Winn on June 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Pavilion at the Cayce Riverwalk, 201 Naples Avenue, Cayce, SC 29033. The family will receive guests at the same location at 10:00 am. South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
