Eric Carroll Sandvig, 70, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at his home. He was the loving husband of Wanda Martin Sandvig for 44 years. Born April 26, 1952, in Norfolk, VA, he was a son of the late Carroll Owen and Sterling Knight Sandvig Behling. He retired from Areva after thirty-five years of service, where he was Manager of Field Services. He was of the Lutheran faith. He was an avid reader and loved the outdoors, especially hiking. He was also an avid Mustang Cobra enthusiast. In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by his daughter, Dana Skirvin and her husband, John, of Rustburg; two sisters, Cynthia Horton and her husband, John, of Appomattox and Jessica Coada, of Colfax, WI and one brother, Gregory Sandvig and his wife, Carol, of Appomattox, VA; two grandchildren, Dylan River Skirvin and Chasin Rider Skirvin. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Joseph Sandvig. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. with the Rev. John Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Pl.
