Marion Keeton "Billie" Fortunoff, 98, of Seminole, died Nov. 20, 2012. Billie was born in Williamsport, KS on Dec. 9, 1913. She came to St. Petersburg from Grinnell, IA in 1955 with her husband, Neal Smithwick. Together, they owned and operated Neal's Restaurant in downtown St. Petersburg until his death in 1969. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. Billie married Abraham Fortunoff in 1977 and they traveled the world for many years. She also enjoyed crafting, quilting, and reading. Survivors include two step-daughters, Susan (Alan) Dee and Janet (William) Post; and grandsons David & Larry Dee and Bill & Bob Post. A private graveside service has been planned. In lieu of flowers, donations in Billie's memory are suggested to Suncoast Hospice or the charity of your choice. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel in St. Petersburg is serving the family. Service Information
