Mary Ellen Bueno

Mary Ellen Bueno was born to Joseph Max and Flora Bueno, in Denver, CO on October 24, 1961 and passed in to eternal life on August 19, 2020. Mary was the youngest of six children, Maxine Bueno, Phillip Bueno, Alfred Bueno, Jeannie Chavez, and James Bueno. She is survived by her mother, Flora Bueno, and five children, Gilbert Lopez, Amy Lopez, Sabrina Medina, Jaylene Medina, and Selena Bueno. She had one grandchild, Julisa Lopez. Mary Ellen attended school at Cheltenham Elementary, Lake Jr. High, and she graduated from North High School. She liked to collect salt and pepper shakers, and tried to keep a written record of the “family tree” of her maternal grandmother, Tomasita. Mary worked in the retail and childcare field for many years. She was severely injured in a pedestrian accident in 2017 and became disabled. Mary grew up in the church, accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, and loved God throughout her life. She will be remembered as a kind, sweet, loving soul, who lost her way in a life that was not kind to her. She is now resting in the loving presence of God. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, at 12:00 noon, at Servant’s Heart Church, 6405 Monaco St., Commerce City, CO., officiated by Pastor Clifton Bernal.
