David Lynn Schuman has passed away of natural causes at his home in Denver. David is survived by his 3 children, 9 grandchildren, a loving extended family, and many close lifelong friends. David was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois with parents Ted and Betty Schuman and brother Dennis Schuman. He graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in 1960. David served in Vietnam as a Marine from 1968 to 1970 as a Corporal and was honorably discharged. David attended and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and graduated in 1971. He was a hard -working, successful professional working in the building maintenance field in Denver for well over 30 years. David’s dedication allowed him to provide his children any opportunities they desired to pursue. David was an incredibly dedicated friend and family member and was always someone who was there for those close to him when they needed anything. David imparted his love of watching and playing sports, working out, card playing (not very well), and a wonderful sense of humor on anyone fortunate enough to spend time with him. David is a devout Catholic who always stayed very close to his faith. We know that he is resting in peace after putting up the good fight despite any struggles for so many years. He will be so missed, by so many. As he got older, he spoke often of such a fulfilled life with so much travel and wonderful experiences all over the world. Our stubborn dad, grandpa, nephew, son, brother, cousin, dear friend, and everything: thank you, love you.
