Derek Marquise Coble May 5, 1992: Aurora, CO - June 3, 2023. Aurora, CO The world has lost a special soul. Derek Marquise Coble, born on May 5th,1992 to Mark D. Coble and Barbara C. Warnsley in Aurora, CO was a playful, adventurous, strong willed and family-oriented man with an optimistic mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit. Derek cared for the well-being of people and had a very strong and genuine commitment to offering support, care and love to friends and family. Derek enjoyed insightful conversation, jokes, and good times with those he loved. He had a contagious laugh and brought joy to others with his warm spirit and bright smile! He loved being with his people! Passionate about sports, Derek had natural athletic ability even as a child. Starting with soccer, young Derek impressed onlookers by kicking the soccer ball far across the field with his young powerful legs. His athletic skills landed him on several basketball teams which continued through high school. In addition to his involvement in sports, Derek also developed strong relationships with his peers and the staff while attending Overland High in Aurora, CO. Derek’s love for the Lord Jesus Christ was reflected in his love and care for people. At the age of 20 in January 2012, Derek was baptized at Restoration Christian Fellowship and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. At the time of his passing, he was a member of Shorter AME Church. In 2012, Derek enlisted in the U.S Army and started basic training. He often shared a story describing how his mindset shifted and his determination strengthened while there. During one of the intense drills, he began to question why he decided to join the Army and why he found himself going through basic training and everything that went with it. As he questioned himself, he just so happened to look down and saw the words "This Too Shall Pass" engraved on a stone. This phrase inspired him, and he found new strength and determination to change his mind-set and intensify his effort while in basic training. This shift not only helped him get through the tough training and enjoy the challenge, but also elevated him amongst his peers as he took on a leadership role. He went on to complete his AIT training in Gulfport, MS. After his military service, Derek became interested in strategies to become financially independent. He began to learn how to become an investor and dove into forex and stock trading. This new skill reflected his commitment to financial freedom and creating a future for his son. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Charles Walter Coble and Marva A. Coble, Areatha Mae Warnsley. He is survived by his grandfather, Grandpa Bob Warnsley (Sharon Warnsley), grandmother, Connie Warnsley, great grandmother, Viola Jackson, father, Mark Derek Coble (Marcia), Barbara C. Warnsley, lil bro, Trey Pruett and sisters Christina Marie Johnson and Jennifer Wilson. He leaves behind one child Joziah Zaire Coble, mother, Cassidy Rice, his aunt Bridgette Ann Coble, uncles Steven Charles Coble (Janette), Christopher Michael Coble (Kim), Bobby Warnsley, Dale Warnsley (Ronda), Shannon Warnsley (Cee Cee) and many extended aunts, uncles and cousins. Viewing will take place at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 21st at Shorter AME Church (3100 Richard Allen Court, Denver, CO 80205). Funeral service begins at 11:00. Family and friends are invited to gather at the repass immediately following the service at B.E. Events (1180 S.
