Alma Heffner
June 28th, 1909 - April 21st, 2011
Mrs. Alma Louise Heffner, 101, of Greensboro, died Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Adam's Farm Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, April 25th at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Dianne Marsden officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mrs. Heffner was born July 28, 1909 in Hickory, to Moses A. and Emma Fox Heffner. She was one of seven children all of whom preceded her in death; Rosa Etta Sizemore, Thomas Raeford Heffner Earl A. Heffner, William Edgar Heffner, Allen Cletus Heffner, and Anable Marie Heffner. She went to work at the age of 16 for Cone Mills and retired after 46 years of service. She was a member of Carraway United Methodist Church. Mrs. Heffner is survived by her niece and caregiver, Linda Cecil Meredith and husband Keith, of Greensboro and several loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Monday, prior to the service, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home.
