Mary Emma Jane O'Daniel Campbell

Mary Emma Jane O'Daniel Campbell, 98, of Lexington, SC, went home to be with her Lord on May 25, 2021 in Sierra Vista, AZ. She was born in Tuckasegee, NC on October 22, 1922, daughter of William Lucious & Ada Beach O’Daniel. On August 31, 1940, she married James William Campbell. Together they raised two daughters, Linda “Trudy” Smith (Ed) of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Patricia Tindal (James) of Lexington, SC. She was a faithful member of Springdale Baptist Church and Ruth’s Willing Workers Sunday school class. She was famous for her beautiful, crocheted baby blankets, which are cherished by many, and her award-winning lemon pound cake. She was still canning in her late 90’s. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edna Lee; and loving husband, James. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia & Trudy; sons in-laws, James & Ed; 7 grandchildren: Cindy Poole, LeeAnn Faucher, Joel Smith, Stephen Smith, Jimmy Tindal, Michael Smith, and David Tindal; 16 great grandchildren; and 9 great, great grandchildren, with Emma David Caldwell expected in August 2021. In addition, two nieces, Glenda Redmond of Candler, NC and Francis Poss of Hollywood, AL. A rich inheritance, Emma was blessed to live long enough to see five generations. Family will receive friends at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 30, 2020 at Springdale Baptist Church, 357 Wattling Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, with service following at 3:00pm, officiated by Pastor Tommy McGill.
