Larry E. Cromer went to be with his Lord on Monday, January 18, 2016. He was born in Columbia, SC on August 24, 1944 to William E. and the late Mildred Chastain Cromer. In addition to his father and step-mother, Carol, Mr Cromer is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Amanda Applebee (Patrick); and brother, Don Cromer (Ann). Larry is predeceased by his mother; sister, Anna Louise Cromer; son, Glenn Eric Cromer; and brother, William Earl Cromer. Larry was a graduate of Brooklyn Cayce High School where he participated in four state band championships. He was senior superlative and wittiest in high school. Larry was a graduate of Newberry College, co-owner of Cromer's Upholstery, member of Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid lover of music and founder of the band, Jerico. Services for Mr. Cromer will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Springdale Baptist Church with burial to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home, West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Tri County or St Jude Children's Hospital.
