Rudolph Jeffcoat WEST COLUMBIA - Funeral services for Rudolph Jeffcoat, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, officiated by Rev. Grover "Buckshot" Williams. Interment will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011, at the funeral home. Mr. Jeffcoat, survived by his wife, Frances Branham Jeffcoat, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Born in Swansea, he was the son of the late Aaron Richard Jeffcoat and Estelle Williamson Jeffcoat. He was a lifetime resident of Lexington County, a member of King Grove Baptist Church, and retired from Jeffcoat and Jeffcoat Builders. Mr. Jeffcoat loved fast cars, enjoyed playing with his dogs, working in the yard and hunting. He will be greatly missed. Surviving are his brother, Jackie William Jeffcoat (Ruby) of Pelion, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jeffcoat was preceded in death by brothers, O'Neal and Leo Kneece Jeffcoat, and a sister, Frances Jeffcoat. Pallbearers are Butch Jeffcoat, Jesse Jeffcoat, Ryan Jeffcoat, Donnie Williamson, Steve McLeod, J.D. Kneece and Kain Kneece. Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Smith, Ted Price, Vernon Romans, Billy Sturkie and Robert Shealy.
