Willie Duke Gibson of Hanahan, SC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 9, 2020. He was surrounded by his family and friends. Willie (Bill) age 93 was born October 14, 1926 in West Virginia. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 74 years of marriage, Betty Disney Gibson; his son Daniel S. Gibson, grandson Chad S. Gibson, four great grandchildren, Barbara Gause Gibson, his brother Eddie Hoot (Barbara) Gibson, and his sister Nancy Gibson (Leo deceased) Duncum, and many nieces and nephews. Willie is preceded in death by his father Reid Hoot Gibson, his mother Beulah Jarrell Gibson, his son Billy Ray Gibson and grandson Shawn Gibson. Willie served in the US Navy, and he was a plumber by trade. He enjoyed many endeavors in life, including owning a bbq restaurant in Texas, Wig Imports in Charleston, home inspector and made pillows. The family wishes to thank Bill Freeman and Brigitt Clark for their love and support. Also a big thanks goes out to Homestead Hospice for their loving care. Funeral services will be private and contributions can be made to Homestead Hospice, 133 East First North Street Suite 9, Summerville, SC 29483.
