Wanda D. Rhymer

Funeral services for Wanda D. Rhymer, of Winnsboro, will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in the Woodridge Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 138 Corley Mill Road Lexington, SC 29072, with visitation thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the residence Monday evening from 6 to 8pm, at 133 Hunstanton Drive Winnsboro, SC 29180. Mrs. Rhymer passed away on June 4, 2011. She was born in Kentucky on August 6, 1932 to the late Durell Drake and Mabel Lee Drake. Mrs. Rhymer was retired from the State of S.C. Health Department in Winnsboro after 25 years of dedicated service to the community. Surviving are her sons, Dennis Bain and Gary Bain, both of North Carolina, and Keith Bain of Gaston, SC; siblings, James Sherill Drake of Baltimore, MD, Ronald Allan Drake of Blair, SC and Nancy Drake Kennedy of Watkinsville, GA; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis Douglas Rhymer of Winnsboro; her parents; and 4 siblings. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Regency Hospice for the loving care they provided to Mrs. Rhymer.
