Eloy Ambrocio Salinas, 77, of LaSalle, CO went home peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on June 29, 2019. He was born January 26, 1942 in Nara Visa, New Mexico to Doroteo and Victoria Salinas. Eloy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He was hardworking, understanding and always put his family first. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to Tejano music and loved to go fishing. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Phyllis Sophia Salinas. His children, Brenda (Fred) Martinez of Greeley, CO, Eloy Ambrocio Salinas, Jr. of LaSalle, CO, Cathi (Billy) Diaz of Denver, CO and Carmelita (Michael) Luevano of Brighton, CO. His grandchildren, Fred R. (Angie) Martinez of Greeley, CO, Anita (Shon) Medina of Denver, CO, Anette Salnias of Denver, CO, Anthony (Erica) Salinas of Greeley, CO, Gianna and Micaela Luevano of Brighton, CO. His great-grandchildren, Sophia Martinez, Adonys Medina, Aaliyah Medina and Dominic Salinas. His sisters, Pauline (Jose) Reyes of Pueblo, CO and Dolores Salinas of Denver, CO. His brother, Leo (Marcella) Salinas of Santa Fe, NM and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Eloy was preceded in death by his daughter, Anita Marcella Salinas, his parents, Doroteo and Victoria Salinas, his brother, Johnny A. Salinas and sister, Dorothy Salinas. Visitation will be at the home of Eloy and Phyllis Salinas and family in LaSalle, CO at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley, CO, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Final Resting Place will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie, WY. Eloy will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his passion for always doing your very best and his loving heart.
