Mildred Loretta Hoffner
March 27th, 1935 - January 17th, 2016
Mildred "Millie” Loretta Hoffner passed away January 17, 2016 at Ashley Manor in Evans. She was born March 27, 1935 in Edgar, Montana to John and Dorothy (Feller) Roth. Mildred attended schools in the Greeley area, graduating from Gill High School in 1953. She married Donald Eugene Hoffner at St. Paul’s Congregational Church on December 11, 1955. Mildred began working at Greeley Finance, then Mountain Bell and UNC before staying home to raise her three boys. Don and Mildred moved to Holyoke in 1975 to continue their farming operation until they retired and sold the farm in February 2006, moving to their home in Eaton. Millie enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church while in Holyoke. Survivors include her husband, Don of 60 years; sons, Gary (Lori) of Yuma, Richard of Eaton and Thomas of Loveland; brothers, Michael (JoAnne) Roth of Longmont and Charle (Jeanne) Roth of Prescott, AZ; grandchildren, Angela (Tyler) Kalous, Brandon (Rochelle) Hoffner, Brent (Stevie) Hoffner, Drew and Ben Hoffner, Jeanette (Gerad) Kingman, Michael (Ashley) Hoffner and Katie Hoffner as well as 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alvin Roth; sister, Lorraine Kendall; and grandson, Clinton Hoffner. Viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at the Adamson Chapel. Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley with a reception to follow. Interment 1:00 p.m. in Eaton Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to "Hospice of Northern Colorado” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634. Friends may leave condolences at adamsonchapels.com.
