Edward F. Sanchez, 83, of Greeley, passed away January 3, 2021 at his home. He was born December 9, 1937 in Chama, Colorado to Margarito and Frances (Rael) Sanchez. He was raised in Chama, CO. On October 25,1958 he married Jesusita "Susie” Flores at St. Francis Xavier Church in Pueblo. In 1960, Eddie and Susie moved from Pueblo to Greeley to work at the new beef plant called Monfort. He worked at Monfort for over 30 years until he retired. In his free time, he enjoyed spending it with his family, camping, fishing, watching the Bronco’s and Colorado Rockies and he also enjoyed "Days Of Our Lives.” He was a hard worker, who never left any chores for the next day; his lawn was immaculate. He is survived by his wife, Susie; children Sally Jojola of Greeley, Frances Sanchez of Greeley, Linda Archuleta and husband Michael of Greeley, and Joseph Sanchez and wife Janie of Windsor; 7 grandchildren, Anthony Archuleta, Andrew Ortega, Jr, Adrieanne Jojola, Jason Jojola, Shannon Anderson, Joseph Sanchez, Jr., and Lani Salas; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Fred Sanchez and wife Ellie, Leonard Sanchez and wife Paulette, and Frieda Martinez and husband Bob all of Pueblo. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Joanne, Geraldine, Elsie, and Agustine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30am Friday, January 8, 2021 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6:00pm -7:00pm Thursday, January 7, 2021 followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at Adamson.
