Harry Thomas Cotner was born in Elizabeth, Indiana to Claude and Estella Belle (Sands) Cotner. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. On May 17, 1949 he married Frances Benke in York, Nebraska. Mr. Cotner was a farmer in Bradshaw, NE until 1950 when he began his career in the public school system in the operations area. He worked in Bradshaw, Nebraska, Shoshoni, Wyoming, Riverton, Wyoming and Greeley. He retired as Supervisor of Operations from School District 6 in 1988. Mr. Cotner belonged to the American Legion, was a former Scoutmaster and Legion Baseball player. He enjoyed reading and yard work. His passion was watching his grandchildren play baseball. Mr. Cotner died Thrusday September 6, 2007 at Fairacres Manor in Greeley. Survivors: Wife Frances; sons Jerry and wife Jan of Loveland, Tim and wife Keli, Phil and wife Tawna all of Greeley, Greg and wife Diane of Rifle; daughters, Trish Moser and husband Greg of Greeley and Mary Lebsack and husband Keith of Pierce; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; brother Roger and wife Mary Ann of Omaha, NE; two sisters, Erma Neinheuser of Walla Walla, WA., and Beverly Burney and husband Duane of Grand Island, NE; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: Parents; son, Michael Cotner; brother, Kelso Cotner and sister Elizabeth Strobel. Services: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 Adamson West Chapel. Visitation: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2007 Adamson West Chapel Inurnment: Greenwood Cemetery, 1000 W 8th Street, York, NE. 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 15, 2007. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice c/o Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
