Charles Henry Galin

In 1961 he married Phyllis McLaughlin, they had two children, Teresa Galin (Matthew) and John Galin. Charles worked in his younger years as a gardener and lithographer for Fiberboard Paper Products. In the mid 60's Charles and Phyllis purchased St. Johns Flower Shop in Portland, Oregon and ran it until they sold the shop in the late 70's. In 1973 Charles and Phyllis purchased Steele's Pansy Gardens in Canby, Oregon. In the late 80's the farm transitioned to a blueberry farm. Charles retired from farming in 2008 he remained in Canby as he enjoyed the small community feel of the area. He spent his days gardening with Phyllis. Their yard was always full of beautiful flowers, which were enjoyed by everyone, especially passersby who were always full of compliments. Charles is survived by his wife, Phyllis, five children, four grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his grand-daughter, Kelsie Bordner. At his request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
