Memorial

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Ann Lapp Maye, our loving and devoted mother, sister, and friend to all whose lives she touched on May 31, 2023. She was 76 years old. Ann graduated from UNCC with a degree in business. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, and worker in the healthcare field, until she physically couldn't. Her favorite job was working with Alzheimers patients, where she was able to sit with, talk with, and hear the stories of her patients. Ann was a devoted woman of Christ and truly embodied what it means to live in His image. She had a beautiful soul and loved to share her joys with those around her. She saw beauty in the little things in life, and her love for books, crafts, and anything delicate made her the perfect mother and grandmother. Any visits to her house included the sounds of birdsong, reminiscent of her love for animals and her birds. When Ann loved something she cared for it and never let go. Her book collection is massive, her puzzles plentiful and the love she had for her family was unmeasurable. She treasured her daughters and would do anything and everything for them. Her life was a living example of the bible verse Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." Ann was predeceased by the late Earl Lapp, Sr., and the late Pearl Lapp. She is survived by her loving and devoted partner of many years, Jack Neal of Charlotte, daughters Jennifer Colorado of Greensboro, NC, Amy Bowyer (Chris) of Greensboro, NC; her brother Earl of Leland, NC and her three grandchildren, Quentin, MaryAnn and Cara. A graveside service is being held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Sharon Memorial Park at 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212 at 3:00.
