Paulette "Paulee" Martha Hill, 72 of Esko passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Paulette was born in Cloquet to Nicholas and Bernadette Burggraff on December 27, 1947. She attended and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1965. In October 1967 she married James Hill and made their home in Esko. Paulette spent time as a homemaker raising her four children and later worked as a seamstress for Wear-a-Knit and Stitch-It Design. She enjoyed her home-makers club, as well as volunteering for the LWML at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and crafting with her grandchildren. Paulette had five grandchildren, Ava, August, Leland, Gracelynn and Gabrielle as well as four step-grandchildren, Spencer, Sam, Taylor, Kelly Jo who were her pride and joy in her later years. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Bernadette Burggraff. Paulette is survived by her husband, James Hill; children, Julie Hill (Jesse Oman) of Minneapolis; Jason Hill (Cindy Sinnott) of Esko; Jennifer (Chad) Carriere of St. Cloud; and Dan Hill of New Brighton; her four siblings, Jacob (Chris) Burggraff of Champlin, Linda (Fred) Branham of Cloquet, Ramona (Doug) Paris of McGregor, and Keith (Penny) Burggraff of Cloquet; and her grandchildren and step grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service Thursday, June 11, 2020 in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Esko. Inurnment will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery.
