Mr. Michael J. Krajewski, 69, of Anderson Road, Sprakers, NY died after a battle with cancer on January 1, 2019 at Albany Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Schenectady, New York he was the son of the late Rudolph and Genevieve Krajewski. Michael was a graduate of Shalmont High School. Michael served as a Deputy with Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 10 years. He later trained with the FBI and was offered employment but stayed with the department and brought back what he learned and set up the departments first radio systems. He along with his father, were also instrumental in the creation of the EMS Department for the Town of Rotterdam. For a time, Michael moved to Florida. While living in Florida he attended Sun State College of Hair Design & Roffler Hair Design. He was a master barber and loved cutting hair. He had the opportunity to barber in many Renaissance Fairs and cut hair for WWE wrestlers. In Florida he owned horse ranches along with countless horses from thoroughbreds to barrel horses. He rode rodeo, taught people how to ride, bred & broke horses as well as attending ferrier college in Oklahoma to better take care of his horses. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Krajewski of Sprakers; two sons, Jeremy (Trisha) Krajewski of Gloversville, NY and Joshua Krajewski (Megan Trigg) of Albany, NY; one brother, Daniel Krajewski of Gloversville, NY; four grandchildren, Lindsay, Aaron, Bailey and Caleb; nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was predeceased by a grandson, Nicholas Krajewski. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2018 at 4p.m. at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 2p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
