Elizabeth Mae Zea

Elizabeth Mae Zea, 19 of Amsterdam NY passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2020 due to heart complications. Born January 7, 2001 in Amsterdam, she is the daughter of Krystle (Zea) Rumrill, and Cody Getz. Elizabeth resided in Amsterdam until she was 10 years of age, when she moved to Worcester to reside with her foster parents, Joan and Dennis Martindale, foster siblings, Katie Sager, Miranda Morell, and Matthew Martindale. Elizabeth graduated from Schenevus Central School, class of 2019. During school she studied cosmetology, played soccer and was a member of the prom committee. She also worked at the Dollar General in Amsterdam as a store clerk. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, as well as with her pride and joy, her cat Maz. She also greatly enjoyed creating and watching short videos on Tik Tok. Her loving family who survives includes her mother, Krystle; step-father, Richard Rumrill; her siblings, Lynn, McKayla, Mary, Patience, Jonathan, and Alexander; three step-sisters, Emilia, Lilith and Adrian; her aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Ryan) Braender, Danielle Zea, Kayla (Christopher Tyler) Zea, Sylvia Zea, and Robert Zea Jr; Nicole, Victoria, and Amanda. Her father, Cody Getz of Georgia, her grandparents Robert and Sue Zea Sr; also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Elizabeth is predeceased by her grandmother, Patience Zea; her aunt, Isabella Zea; her great-grandparents, June and George Goss, and Earl Charles and Bethel Mae (Otto) Zea; as well as several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
