Wanda (Przybylo) Sinda, 83, died Tuesday morning December 12, 2023 at Wellstar Hospice in Kennesaw Mountain, GA with her children beside her, after a brief, aggressive illness. She was born in Amsterdam, NY on February 21, 1940, the daughter of Mary and Anthony Przybylo. She grew up and lived most of her life in Amsterdam. Wanda was a graduate and proud member of the class of 1958 of Amsterdam High School. After high school Wanda worked as a secretary for the Navy Department in Washington, DC. She then returned home to Amsterdam to marry her high school sweetheart, the late Edmund F. Sinda on November 15, 1959. Wanda and Ed built an amazing life together raising their children and teaching them how to love, learn and care for others. Wanda’s family, the Roman Catholic Church, and her Polish heritage were most important to her throughout her life. Wanda was a homemaker, a hairdresser, and everyone’s biggest cheerleader. She never missed an opportunity to help others with appointments, hairstyles, meals, rides and with anything she could. She was a grade school room mother and active in Brownies and Scouts. She endured and enjoyed many hours of music lessons, concerts, dance recitals and sporting events (baseball, softball & gymnastics) that took her throughout the US. She loved to dance the polka, attend exercise classes, and prepare elaborate holiday celebrations rich with polish foods and traditions. In her later years she enjoyed reading, business consulting, drinking wine, keeping up with fashion, and traveling throughout Europe. Wanda will be most remembered for her beautiful smile, home cooked meals, and tender heart. Wanda is survived by her three children: Dr. Kelly Ann (Douglas) Wilson, Kathi (Edward) Bentzel and Edmund A. Sinda, four grandchildren: Aaron S. Bentzel, Dr. Douglas Wilson Jr., Dr. Schuyler (Bryson) Bentzel, Samantha (Caleb) Tseng, two great grandchildren: Karis Tseng, Ezekiel Tseng and four siblings: Teri DeSorbo, Johnny (Gail) Przybylo, Patty Przybylo, Joey Przybylo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 11am at St. Stanislaus Church with The Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. as celebrant, a calling hour being held prior beginning at 10am, 50 Cornell St. Amsterdam. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Amsterdam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Wanda’s services are being entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave. Amsterdam. Online condolences can be made at www.brbsfuneral.com.
