Melissa A. “Minnie Mouse” Wheeler, age 58, of Gloversville, New York, died August 23, 2021 at Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Melissa was born May 30, 1963 in Glens Falls, New York, the daughter of Leland Morehouse and Betty (Van Dyke) Decker. After high school, Melissa went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Psychology. She worked as a bartender for several bars and restaurants, but especially loved the Crest Inn in Ballston Spa. When Melissa wasn’t at work, she enjoyed going to the beach, especially Vandenburgh Point on Lake Sacandaga, being on her computer, and doing arts and crafts. She especially loved her pets and spending time with family. Melissa is survived by her long-time partner, Kenneth S. Teeling; her children, Johnathan B. Glynn, Crystal (Roger) Bartlett, Anthony D. “Bubba Face” Carey, and Tiffany K. “Tiffy Spiffy” (Ralph Nolan) Jepsen; her step-children Chris (Medea) Jepsen, Jayson D. (Sandra) Teeling, Zack S. (Laura) Teeling, and Brendon S. (Kristina)Teeling; her siblings John L. (April) Morehouse, Douglas (Patty) Norton, Philip (Rose) Morehouse, Bruce (Debbie) Morehouse, and Deann (Wallace) Pecor. She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters Wanda Morehouse and Gloria Bacon. Services for Melissa will be private, at the convenience of her family. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the NYOH 896 Riverview Drive Rexford, NY 12148 . The staff of Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home is honored to assist the Melissa’s family as they navigate this difficult time.
