Antonio Salinas Lopez

Antonio Salinas Lopez, 99, of Widefield, Colorado 80911.

With his children by his bedside, Mr. Lopez passed away peacefully due to natural causes while being cared for at the short-term rehabilitation center, Advanced Health Care of Colorado Springs, on June 21, 2024. 

He proudly served and retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, and he committed another 20 years to civil service. 

Antonio enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at his mountain cabin. He was an avid gun collector, liked trains, and loved learning about history. He passed his time by telling stories, giving rides on his motorcycle and go kart, and indulging in listening to the radio any chance he got. 

He was married to his beloved wife, Estella Tijerina Lopez, from Kingsville, Texas for approximately 40 years. 

Antonio leaves behind his daughter Monica Sewell, son Charlie Lopez and daughter Lucinda Lopez; his grandchildren Michael Medina, Maria Barrows, Charlene Sewell, Brandon Sewell, Austin Lopez, Alexis Lopez, Cameron Lopez and Adam Lopez; his great grandchildren Vivian Barrows, Elysia Medina, Hayden Bunthoff, Charlize Medina, Danny Sewell, and great-great grandchild, Angelo Ingraffia.

He is preceded in death by his wife Estella Lopez, his daughter Diana Barrows, son Albert Lopez, and daughter Mary Lopez.

Mr. Antonio Salinas Lopez's life will be honored during a grave site ceremony on July 2, 2024 at 3pm at the Pikes Peak National Ceremony, 10545 Drennan Rd, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
