Lucas William Chavez October 4, 1982 - June 2, 2024
Lucas was born in La Mirada, CA to Karen and Cornelius Chavez. Lucas’s family moved to Carson City, NV, where he went to grade school and graduated from Carson City High school in 2001. Through Lucas’s childhood, he played many sports, baseball and football were the two sports for which he had a passion. Once in high school, Lucas focused his time as a defensive lineman for the high school football team. His parents, friends and family took great joy in cheering him on from the side lines. After high school, Lucas dedicated his time to individuals at local high schools and pop warner teams coaching football in Northern Nevada and Lake Havasu, AZ.
Lucas had lived most of his life in AZ, but also lived in OK for a period of time. After the passing of Lucas’s mother, he found solace in friends in Tucson, AZ, to where he eventually relocated and passed away.
He was full of joy, always caring for others, and fun-loving. Lucas was a dedicated son, friend and father. He enjoyed being involved in his children’s lives, and was very proud of his children. Lucas was loved by many because of his teddy bear personality, silly, and attentive all at once. Always wanting to make others feel welcomed.
Lucas is survived by his two loving children Aleah and Jacob Chavez of Doylestown, PA, along with numerous friends.
