Ruth Marie Morgan, 101, wife of the late Joseph Morgan, passed away on July 17, 2024 in Lexington.  Ruth was born in Lombard, Kentucky on March 7, 1923 to the late Clayton and Ida Duff. Ruth was a beloved homemaker to her family and a longtime member of East Hickman Baptist Church. She loved playing Bingo, solving puzzles, and sewing.  

 

She is survived by her children, Cloyd (Jackie) Morgan, Julie Morgan, and Eddie Morgan; brother, Rodney (Betty) Duff; grandchildren, Randall Morgan, Joe Morgan, Kristy McFarland, and Jennifer (Andrew) Wood; great-grandchildren, Courtney Morgan, Aaron (Clary) McFarland, Lacey McFarland, Brandon Morgan, and Freya Wood; one great-great grandson; and sister-in-laws, Thelma Duff and Vada Duff. 

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford (Vada) Duff, Randall (Maude) Duff, Clarence (Velma) Duff, Crit (Esther) Duff, Ralph (Ann) Duff, Ray (Ann) Duff, Bennie (Thelma) Duff; and grandchild, Darren Morgan.  

 

A funeral service will be held for Ruth on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 11am at Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
