Juan Angel Velasquez Fuentes

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Juan Angel Velasquez Fuentes, an inspirational and loving soul, on October 1, 2024, in McLean, VA. Born on September 2, 1952, in Honduras, Juan's journey through life was marked by resilience, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved.

Juan was a well-respected figure within his community, known for his resourcefulness and his multifaceted skills as a construction worker, driver, and handyman. But more than his professional achievements, he will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and loyalty. Whether telling an elaborate story, helping someone in need, or simply sharing a laugh, Juan's presence was a cherished gift to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Iris, and a proud father to Jorge, Tatiana, Nilson and John, whose lives were immeasurably enriched by his wisdom and compassion. Juan's influence also extended across his large family, including his surviving three brothers, Alberto, Catalino, and Concepcion; four sisters, Carmen, Gloria, Julia, and Marta; along with numerous nieces and nephews who held him dear.

Juan joins in eternal rest his parents, José Maria Velasquez and Maria Fuentes; his brothers, Antonio and Cristóbal Velasquez; his sister Isolina Velasquez; and his cherished nephew José Antonio Velasquez, affectionately known as Toñito. In Juan's memory, a vigil will be held to celebrate his life. We encourage everyone to bring a flower to leave with Juan, a simple gesture to honor the vibrant spirit that touched so many hearts.

May we carry forward his legacy of kindness and generous spirit, cherishing the laughter and love he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, Juan, your stories will live on in our hearts.
