Shirley Ann Biamonte
November 1st, 1935 - September 26th, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Biamonte announces her passing.
Shirley Ann Biamonte (Farquhar) was 88 years old when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Shirley was the second child born to her parents Nettie Copp and David Farquhar on November 1, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska. Shirley lived together with her parents and brother Robert in Omaha until she met and fell in love with Ronald Russell who was in the service. Shirley moved to California to be near extended family members and Ronald. Ronald and Shirley were married in Long Beach, CA on October 29, 1954.
Ronald and Shirley lived in several cities in California. They had one son together named Robert David Russell. They all lived in Thousand Oaks, California until Ronald decided to have his marriage annulled after 15 years. Shirley and her son Robert lived in Thousand Oaks for several years together.
She worked for Hughes Aircraft in Malibu, California for many years.
While in California, she meet her second husband (Joseph Biamonte). It was a very difficult relationship. Hughes offered her a job in Tucson, AZ and she took the opportunity to start a new life there without Mr. Biamonte.
Shirley liked Tucson and quickly acclimated to the city. She bought a house in Tucson and worked at the Hughes Aircraft plant until she retired.
In 2006, Shirley moved back to California to be near her son Robert Russell and his wife Diane and her Grandchildren Victoria and Ryan Russell. Due to financial hardships Shirley had to return back to Tucson in 2009. When Shirley returned to her home in Tucson, she once again acclimated back into the Tucson lifestyle. Some of the activities that kept Shirley busy included: She worked at the U of A as a Secretary until she retired again; volunteered daily at the VA for several years; she became very active at the Santa Cruz Lutheran Church, was an active member of the P.EO. Organization. Shirley also looked forward to her yearly trips to see her son Robert and family in California.
In 2017, Shirley’s Son, Robert and his family moved to Arizona to be near her. Finding that home ownership was more demanding, she moved into the Echelon Retirement Apartments in 2017 where she lived for five years. In 2022, she moved to Broadway Proper which she enjoyed staying.
Shirley is survived by two Grandchildren, Victoria and Ryan Russell. Shirley will be forever missed by family and friends.
