Donald Bruce Primm (age 71) passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at TRU Community Care in Longmont, CO, following a brief battle with cancer. Born on March 11, 1953 at Gibson Hospital in Edina, MO, he was the son of Tom Bruce Primm and Oneta (Coleman) Primm, former residents of Ewing, MO. He married Jeanie Kathleen Bledsoe on June 29, 1973 in the First Baptist Church of LaBelle, MO. They are parents to son Thomas Bryce Primm of Arvada, CO and daughter Amber Primm of Beverly, MA.

A 1971 graduate of Highland High School in Ewing, MO, he pursued 2 years of higher education at Truman University in Kirksville. He dedicated his professional life to a career as a tool and dye maker / manufacturing engineer. Bruce and Kathy spent 17 years in Southern California, 19 years in Connecticut, and chose to retire in Berthoud, CO to be close to his mother and sister. He had a lifelong passion for sports and the outdoors, was an avid golfer, motorcycle rider, and archery enthusiast.

Bruce is preceded in death by his father Tom Primm, many beloved aunts, and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, son, and daughter, as well as his mother, Oneta Primm, of Loveland, CO; his sister, Beth (and husband Dennis) Frahm of Loveland, CO; his brother, Jeff Primm, of Iowa City, Iowa; his mother-in-law Hazel Bledsoe Smith of Berthoud, CO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins who are scattered across the country and globe.

A celebration of life will be held at City Star Brewing in Berthoud, CO on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 4-7pm. It will be a casual gathering where people may come and go as needed, but a brief, formal eulogy and time for sharing thoughts/memories about Bruce will begin at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in the name of Donald Bruce Primm to TRU Community Care at www.trucare.org/donate, or by mail at 2594 Trailridge Drive East, Lafayette, CO 80026. His family is requesting this so other families can receive the same compassionate, hospice care at end-of-life.
