David Paul Smigelski, 61, of Little Mountain, SC was found passed away in his home on Sunday, October 13, 2024. David was born on May 3, 1963 to Donald Smigelski and Catherine Smigelski (O’Connor) in Chicago, IL and moved to Irmo, SC in 1973. After David graduated from Irmo High School in 1981, he went on to get his Associates Degree in Machinery at Midlands Tech, graduating in 1983. David met Tabitha Wright and her two sons, Alan Pate and Russell Smigelski, who he adopted as his own. They went on to have one more child together in 1999, Ciara. David always had a love for the outdoors, going on many hunting trips with his friends and his sons over the years. He enjoyed working in his tool shed and spending time with his family when he wasn’t at work. David was a great provider for his family and a greater man at heart. David was kind and soft spoken and loved with his entire heart. David is survived by his parents Don & Catherine Smigelski, his brothers, Don (Janet) Smigelski, Mark (Jodi) Smigelski, his children, Alan Pate, Russell (Olivia) Smigelski, and Ciara (Devin Wilson) Smigelski as well as his nephews, nieces, and many cousins. A drop-in service will be held  on Monday, October 21, 2024 at The Cotton Press, 199 West Church St, Little Mountain, SC 29075, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. All family and friends of David and his family are welcome. Please come as you are. The South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
