Michael Lance Bise, 70, of Mount Carmel, TN, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on October 18, 2024, at Holston Valley Hospital.

Mike was born April 5, 1954, to JC & Shirley (Ragle) Bise at the same Holston Valley Hospital, lived most of his life in Hawkins County, where he was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church, and retired from Sprint, after 28 years of service, due to Multiple Sclerosis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Elijah & Caledonia (Reedy) Bise and Talmadge & Lelia (Gentry) Ragle. Mike and his Grandma Ragle were very close and loved each other dearly.

Mike is survived by his beloved bride of 47 years, Ella Sue (Ellie) Dye Bise; son Justin Michael Bise, wife Jennifer; daughter, Rebecca Michelle (Becky) Bise Wade, husband Casey; grandchildren, Noah Dallas Wade, wife Holly, Bethany Erin Wade, Jaycie Michelle Bise, Jentry Michael Bise; and his precious great-granddaughter, Opal Mae Wade. Those who called him “Papaw” were his greatest earthly joy.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff who helped care for Mike in his last months, Tammy & Stacy.

The family will receive friends from 4-6pm, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home Church Hill with service at 6pm officiated by Pastor Jon Rogers of Ridgeview and Elder Justin Bise of Bass Chapel.

Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is serving the Bise family.
