Donald Ray “Don” Prince

Don was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma on September 11, 1938. He was the youngest son of Mae and Elmer Prince. He went to heaven on October 30, 2024. He lived a healthy 86 years and passed away watching his favorite sport, baseball. He was predeceased by his wife Agnes Burkhart “Cass” Prince. He is survived by his 5 children: Teresa (Prince) Vanderwall, Dahr Prince, Tomas Prince, Jody and Ricky Prince.

He went to Wilburton High School, class of 1956. Shortly after high school, he enlisted in the Airforce in 1957. He spent 4 years as an aircraft mechanic and is a Vietnam Veteran. He later went on to become an Education Advocate for Tucson Arizona Education and then retired from Arizona Education Association. He was a member of Kawanis Club many years and volunteered for Neighbors Feeding Neighbors. He enjoyed the work that he did for his community.

As a pilot and had a passion for flying and he owned several aircrafts through the years. Don enjoyed being in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a love for Native American culture, as he worked with the reservations. He was handy with tools and could fix almost anything, including cars. He enjoyed the taste of a good cigar. Don was a very dependable and honorable man. He always kept his word and was loved by so many.

He deeply cherished the time he spent as a member of St. Andrews. The church had a profound impact on his life. He asked that instead of flowers, please make a donation to St. Andrews, please put on the memo line Neighbors Feeding Neighbors. The celebration of life service, will be held at St. Andrews Episcopal Church on Friday, November 15th at 11:00am. Located a:t 545 South 5th Ave, Tucson, Arizona 85701.
