Barbara Wilhelm Burgess was born on July 25, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland and passed away in Venice, Florida on November 12, 2024 at the age of 78.  She moved to Venice from Montgomery, Alabama in 2008 where she worked for the Federal Government for 15 years.  Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama and member of Christ Venice Church in Venice.

  

She is survived by her two daughters, Brandi Evans of Tampa, Florida, Belinda Burgess of Huntington Beach, California; a son, Bryan (Sarah) Burgess of Charlotte, North Carolina; a brother, Bill (Meriam) Wilhelm of Torrance, California and three grandchildren, Aby, Brie and Cam.  Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Burgess of Venice and her parents, Bill & Mildred Wilhelm of Cape Coral, Florida. 

 

Services will be held privately for the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tidewell Hospice Foundation, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238 or to Christ Venice Church, 1475 Center Road, Venice, Florida 34292.
