Milford Audrey Oakes was born on July 18, 1939, and entered eternal rest on December 28, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born in Batavia, NY; His parents were Audrey Falls Oakes and Mildred Oakes; however, he was raised by his loving grandparents, Benjamin and Florence Pask.
Milford was in the United States Marine Corps. Milford had a second full career with H&R Block, as District Manager in North Charleston, SC. Milford worked after retirement by providing maintenance for all the Charleston, SC H&R Block offices.
Milford is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca Jean Oakes, his former wife Marilyn Elaine Oakes, his daughter Nancie Oakes Ludwig, his son Michael A Oakes, his two stepchildren Stephanie Donofrio Jackson (Jeremy) and Donald R. Donofrio. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren, who he loved dearly.
In Lieu of flowers, Milford would like all donations to go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Milford A. Oakes was an amazing husband and father; he will truly be missed.
