Jeanne Thompson was born in Iowa City, Iowa in 1941. She moved to Oregon as a teenager in the early 1960s with her parents and settled in Milwaukie.
Jeanne proudly worked for Schnitzer Steel and Wacker Siltronics over her lifetime. She loved going to the Oregon Coast with her best friend and would often share stories about their adventures.
She was well-loved by her neighbors who became such good friends who looked out for each other. Jeanne was the longest running resident of her over 55 community in Milwaukie, having moved there with her parents in 1966.
No matter where she went, Jeanne would have people smiling and saying “what a sweetheart!”. She was a sweetheart and she will be missed by those who had the opportunity to know her. Jeanne was a self-determined woman and a proud Midwesterner at heart all of her life.
She lived simply and happily until an accidental fall in September and her death October 26, 2022. Rest well our sweet cousin.
