In Glorious Memory

It is with a profound sense of admiration and love that we remember Abenicio Moises Pacheco, who was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully at his home in Denver, CO, on January 21, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in the sun-kissed landscapes of Monte Aplanado, New Mexico on April 30, 1932, Moisés embodied a spirit of resilience and dedication throughout his life. Moises was a true craftsman of his trade, spending his life as a rancher, miner, business owner, and cement finisher. His dedication to his work was unparalleled, and he took great pride in contributing to buildings that stood as testaments to his hard work and commitment. His unwavering work ethic provided for his family throughout his life.

Moises's legacy lives on through his loving wife, Marcella Pacheco, and his large family, including his children: Christabelle (Frank Chavez), Rita (Johnny Vigil), Mary Jean (Jesse Marquez), Florence (Rafael Mendoza), Eddie (Janelle Pacheco), Margaret (Herman Medina), Aurora (David Medina), Mary Lee (the late Daniel Chavez), and Benjamin (Yvonne Pacheco). As the last of his generation, he is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, infant son, son-in-law, Danny Chavez, and grandsons, Nathan Medina, Joey Chavez, and is survived by 37 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

He inspired those around him with his quiet strength, tireless work ethic, and profound love for his family. His life is a reminder that true greatness does not come from recognition or fame, but from the impact one has on the lives of others. The value of hard work, dedication, and the importance of cherishing family bonds are lessons his family will forever hold dear.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Moises’s inspiring life at his memorial service, held at Thrive Church, 2720 W 92nd Ave, Federal Heights, CO. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025. As we gather to honor and remember the remarkable journey of Abenicio Moises Pacheco, we find comfort in the legacy he leaves—a life devoted to love, craftsmanship, and family.

His family will miss his patriarch leadership, his example of being a man of integrity, and his love for God.
