Bring's Broadway Chapel
Karen R. Cox
October 4th, 1939 - February 13th, 2025
Karen Ruth Cox
On Thursday, February 13th, 2025, we lost a beautiful soul. Karen was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa on October 4th, 1939. Her family moved to Tucson, Arizona in her early childhood years where she attended Roskruge Elementary and graduated from Tucson High School in 1957. Karen worked for TUSD her entire career, retiring in 2002.
We called her the original Mrs.C, the fixer of everything, our biggest cheerleader who was supportive, fierce, yet kind and loyal. She was the light in the darkness and a shoulder to lean on. She had the biggest heart and brightest smile. Karen was a mom, aunt, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She would say the most inappropriate things during serious moments and smuggle the kid's candy when they were not supposed to have any.
Her loss leaves a huge void in all our hearts. There truly was no one like Grannie. We try to find peace in knowing she is free from the pain in this earthly life. God saw that she was tired and called her home. Momma, we will meet again one day, in the meantime your loss will be felt forever.
Karen was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah, mother Ruth, sister Janet, and brother Ron. She is survived by Pam, Steve, David, Sandra, Andrew, Mandi, Isabella, Audriana, Johanah, Drew, Mary Ellen, Brian and Ashley.
