After a long battle with an unknown illness, Albert Jiron Jr passed away at 9:55pm on August 2nd, 2021, in his home surrounded by his beloved family. His illness started over 12 years ago while serving as Pastor of Palm Beach Baptist Church in Lake Worth Florida. He resigned in 2015 and moved home to the Green Mountain area in Lakewood Colorado to spend his final years. Al Jiron Jr was born on May 19th, 1960, in Westminster Colorado to Albert Jiron Sr. and Doris Meyers. He served full time in vocational ministry since 1985. He has held the position of Senior Teaching Pastor for over thirty years, while the last five were spent serving at Lochwood Christian Fellowship. Furthermore, he worked as a missionary with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Navigators. He spent years in the classroom as an Adjunct Professor and Dean at Knox Theological Seminary in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Prior to becoming a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, he served in the U.S. Military and spent time overseas. He served on the U.S.S. Coral Sea throughout his military career. During a deployment he was injured and received an honorable discharge as a disabled veteran. It was during this time that his eyes were illuminated to Christ. He earned his B.A at Grand Canyon University, MDiv at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and did his DMin work at Knox Theological Seminary. His life was committed to Christ, family, the church, community, Colorado, country and making disciples of all nations. He is survived by his wife Lori Jiron, and their three children Rachelle, Jesse, and Janay Jiron. His mother Doris Meyers, sister Jorrie Muniz, brother-in-law Larry Muniz and grandchild Autumn Jiron. On Saturday, August 7th at 10:00am the viewing and memorial service will be held at Lochwood Christian Fellowship located at 1354 S.
