Joan Carol Hieber, born on May 16, 1934, in Ashland, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023, in Lakewood, Colorado. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Lisa Jean Lane, and her beloved grandson, Easton Chase Lane. Joan had a creative spirit and a kind heart. A gifted artist, she found beauty in the Colorado mountains, capturing their essence through her paintings. Her love for nature and art blended seamlessly, leaving behind works that reflect the landscapes she cherished most. She had an adventurous soul, always eager to explore the world. Of all the places she visited, Taos, New Mexico, held a special place in her heart. Joan also dedicated much of her time to volunteering, believing in the power of kindness and community. In keeping with her wishes, no formal service will be held. Those who knew and loved Joan are invited to celebrate her life in their own meaningful ways, remembering her gentle presence, creativity, and the love she shared so freely.
