Jeanne McMahon, 96, of Greeley, died on August 11, 2017, in Greeley. Jeanne was born in Spalding, Nebraska to Emmett and Mary Ellen (Darcy) Lee on June 29, 1921. Jeanne spent most of her life working as a professional seamstress for her own business. She was known at UNC for providing off campus housing for almost 100 college students from 1960-1984. During that time Jeanne helped house women from Pakistan, Thailand, and Ethiopia while they received graduate degrees from CSC. From 1972-1993, Jeanne worked at UNC Michener Library as a library aide. She traveled throughout the US, Mexico and Europe with family and friends. Jeanne is survived by her children, Patrick (Candy) McMahon of Warrenton, Virginia, Kathleen of Evans, Colorado, Mary (Ryan Butner) of Parker, Colorado, and Christine McMahon of Evans, Colorado; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a large loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers and 4 sisters; and former husband, Don McMahon.
