Jennifer "Jenny" Marie Bonilla
January 17th, 1985 - March 17th, 2025
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Marie Bonilla, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and an amazing friend, who passed away on March 17, 2025, at the age of 40.
She was born on January 17, 1985, in Los Angeles and around 1990 moved to Washington and became a older sister against her will. In Washington is where she embarked on a personal journey that would help shape her future and built her life’s foundation on deep, lasting friendships. After she graduated from Sunnyside High School in 2003, she began her nursing career as a CNA at a Convalescent home and that passion for care and hospitality blossomed into a 18 year career at Natividad Medical Center. Her compassion for the wellness of others was only surpassed by the joy she found in the birth of her daughters: Gracie, Rebekah, and Lupita.
Jenny is survived by her three devoted daughters, who were the light of her life:
- Graciela Elizabeth Castillo
- Rebekah Magdalena Castillo
- Jayla Guadalupe Castillo
She will be dearly missed by her loving parents:
- Dolores Antoinette Sullivan (Mother)
- Jose Bonilla Landaverde (Father)
Jenny's siblings, who cherished her deeply, are:
- Jerry Ruiz
- Crystal Martinez
- Joe Bonilla
- Jessica Llamas
- Debbi Bonilla
Jennifer's impact on our lives will not be forgotten. Those who knew her will always remember the warmth of her smile and her ability to bring people together. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion, keeping her memory alive in our hearts.
In this time of mourning, we find solace in the shared memories and stories of Jennifer's life, knowing that she touched us all in unique and meaningful ways. May her spirit continue to guide and inspire us, just as it did throughout her life. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

We Entrusted Jennifer Bonilla's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
