Bonnie Jean Murphy passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Caldwell, Idaho. She was born on February 3, 1943, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Henry Isaac Marsh and Nettie Pearl (Jones) Marsh.

Bonnie grew up in Murtaugh, Idaho, as one of twelve children—four brothers, including her twin Robert, and seven sisters. She graduated from Murtaugh High School in 1962 and soon after moved to Boise to attend beauty school. While living there with her brother and his wife, she met Donald Floyd Murphy. The two were married on July 24, 1963, and made their home in Caldwell, where they remained for the rest of their lives.

Together, Bonnie and Don raised two sons: Kevin, born in 1964, and Corey, born in 1967. Though she never worked professionally in a salon, Bonnie generously shared her hairstyling skills with family and friends throughout her life. The Murphys were longtime members of Caldwell First Christian Church from 1976 onward.

Bonnie was known for her vibrant personality and quick wit. She never met a stranger and delighted in teasing those around her with warmth and humor. In her later years, she became especially known for her ever-growing collection of jokes—always ready to share a new one to brighten someone’s day. Her gift for making others smile was one of her most cherished traits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, and 10 of her siblings. She is survived by her twin brother, Robert, sons Kevin and Corey, their wives, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Bonnie’s legacy of laughter and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and joy to those she touched.
