Carolyn Monjoi, also known as "Mojo" and "Jersey Girl" to her friends, joined her loved ones in heaven on May 3rd, 2025. She was born in Montclair, New Jersey, on February 14, 1938, and was preceded in her passing by her parents, Anthony and Josephine Monjoi, her sister Rose Lombardo and her best friend, Ginger Eichler.

Shortly after graduating from Immaculate Conception High School, Carolyn joined a law firm in Newark as a legal secretary and she enjoyed every aspect of that job. After 11 years, though, time came for a new adventure; so in 1968 she decided to make Arizona her new home. Life in Tucson, as she hoped, was a fun and adventurous experience, which continued throughout her life, all because of the dear and loyal friends she made everywhere she invested herself. Whether it was at Rotary, the YWCA, the gym, The Temp Connection, Mojo Consulting, her beloved Bambi Bar or Christ Presbyterian Church, Caroline's love for life and strong, selfless people endeared her to many who will miss her thoughtfulness, sincerity, meaningful conversation and determination to live life to its fullest.

Carolyn loved the mornings most especially, but she was always ready to appreciate nature. The roar of a monsoonal downpour, the exuberance of Tucson's sunsets and the starry depth of a dark night didn't escape her, and she credited her mother for this sensibility.

This New Jersey girl always hoped that she made a positive difference in the lives of people she met, and prayed that they would have a broad smile on their faces whenever she came to mind.

She is survived by her niece and nephew, Joe Lombardo and Angela Lombardo, and treasured great and great, great nieces and nephews.

Her life celebration will be on Tuesday, May 20, 2:30 PM at Christ Presbyterian Church, 6565 E. Broadway Blvd. Tucson, with a reception to follow. Yellow being Carolyn's favorite color, those in attendance are encouraged to wear it proudly. Yellow flowers or donations to Rotary Club of Tucson Sunrise honoring Carolyn will be appreciated.
