Virginia Clark Coffey
May 29th, 1962 - April 29th, 2025
Virginia Clark Coffey died peacefully on Tuesday, April 29 after a short bout of cancer. She was the daughter of Howard T. Clark and and Laura L. Clark. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David D. Coffey, and her brother, Howard Thomas Clark Jr. She is survived by her son Mason Clark Coffey and her daughter Meredith Anne Coffey, and many cousins. She attended and graduated from the Lexington School, Henry Clay High School, and the University of Kentucky. She was the owner of the Lexington Cotillion Club, founded in 1936 by Virginia Finnell, her great grandmother. At the Cotillion Club, and in all her endeavors, she devoted her life to the children of Lexington. She was a member of the Junior League of Lexington, and volunteered with many charitable organizations. She married the love of her life, David D. Coffey, in 1986. She now rejoins him in Heaven. She is dearly missed by her family and her many good friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 23rd from 7:00pm-9:00 at the Bodley Bullock House in Lexington.
