It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Allan Sorenson, who departed this life on May 2, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Olympia, Washington. Timothy was born on February 18, 1964, and dedicated his life to his family, friends, and community, leaving a legacy of compassion and creativity that will be cherished by all who knew him.

As a devoted family man, Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Deese-Sorensen, and their children, Timothy, Tristan, and Heaven Sorensen. He was a proud grandfather to Caillou, Rio, and Silas. Additionally, he leaves behind his mother, Linda Sorenson, as well as his sisters Tammie Bartlett, Angela Henderson, Corina Sorensen, and Valerie Sorensen. His brothers—Mike Cornell, Earl Sorenson, Justin Sorenson, Ronald Sorenson, Rick Sorenson, Tony Bartlett, Corey Bartlett, Ron Robers, and Richard Cornell—also mourn his loss, as do many other relatives and friends whose lives he enriched.

Timothy attended Olympia high school and started his career in the restaurant industry before finding his passion for construction and eventually landscaping design and maintenance. He was known for his creativity and craftsmanship, qualities that shone through in all his endeavors. Whether it was his innovative landscaping projects, his love of sculpting dragons, or his dedication to hanging the Christmas lights every year, he brought joy and beauty into the lives of those around him.

Timothy was an avid sports fan and participant, volunteering at a variety of different clubs in Olympia, Shelton, and Enterprise Utah. His giving nature also led him to lend a hand at several churches touching the lives of many in his community.

Preceding him in death were his father, Syd Sorenson; his mother, Judith Hutchens; his brother, William Sorenson; and his beloved daughter, Tiffany Deese. Their memories will forever be a part of his enduring spirit.

A memorial service in honor of Timothy Allan Sorenson is scheduled for November 1, 2025. The exact location will be announced at a later date.
