**In Loving Memory of Socorro Felix Toscano**

Born April 2, 1933, in Nacozari, Sonora, Mexico

Passed away May 3, 2025

With deep sorrow and immense love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Socorro Felix Toscano. She lived a full and beautiful life, devoted to her family and filled with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love.

Socorro was the proud mother of seven children: José Inez Toscano, Francisco Fructuoso Toscano, Ignacio (wife Betty), Emma Regalado (Memy), Jose Maria Toscano, Elsa Olivia Brown (spouse Perry), and Jorge Toscano. Her legacy grew through generations, as she delighted in her expanding family of 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was the heart and foundation of this large and loving family, a guiding presence who taught us the importance of faith, strength, kindness, and generosity.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ignacio Toscano-Solís. Socorro was a phenomenal Mexican cook, a self-taught baker, and a talented seamstress. Her hands were truly blessed by God. She was always busy creating beauty—whether through delicious meals, delicate beadwork for rosaries and bracelets, or lovingly knitted blankets and beanie caps for her loved ones. Her creativity and generosity were woven into everything she touched, leaving behind cherished gifts and memories that will be treasured forever.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but the love she instilled in all of us will remain forever. We honor her memory and celebrate the extraordinary life she lived.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. Augustine Catholic School Chapel, 8800 E 22nd Street, Tucson, AZ 85701

Her ashes will be interred in her hometown of Douglas, AZ 85607. Further details of her final resting place and ceremony will be announced at a later date for August.
