Selenea Mata., 53, of Fort Collins Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2021, in Fort Collins Colorado. Selenea was born in Burley, Idaho to Adolpho Gerhardt and Martha Nevarez on December 30, 1967. Selenea later moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. Selenea enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, she was a certified medical assistant, and loved dogs. She was a free spirit and enjoyed traveling. Selenea is survived by her husband Frank Mata, daughter, Andrea Mondragon, and Matthew Mondragon, five grandchildren: Aniyah, Leandra, Alayah, Amari, and Elias, four siblings Eva Availa and Alfredo Availa, Florie Sumner and Steve Sumner, Damian Gerhardt and Moriah Nevarez. Selenea is also survived by a large loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her father. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
