JoAnn Carol CollardAugust 4, 1947 – June 3, 2025

JoAnn Carol Collard, beloved mother, grandmother, and lifelong Arvada resident, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born on August 4, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, JoAnn grew up in Arvada and graduated from Arvada High School in 1965. A natural athlete with a love for competition, JoAnn played many sports throughout her youth. Her energy and love for life extended far beyond the playing field.

JoAnn dedicated 28 years of her career to helping families find homes as a respected realtor in Arvada. She was also deeply involved in her community, giving countless hours as a volunteer. She served as PTA President at her daughter’s school, organized and coached a local girls’ basketball team—the Arvada Lady Cats—and devoted 20 years to the Arvada Historical Society. JoAnn was also an active member of the Arvada Optimists Club for six years and took great pride in her involvement with the Pioneer Colorado License Plate Club.

Above all, JoAnn was devoted to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Cassie,son-in-law Matt, and her cherished grandchildren, Tanner and Abby. She loved animals—so much so that she once had a pet skunk named Petunia—and never missed a chance to connect with others, always bringing warmth and humor to those around her.

JoAnn will be remembered for her generous spirit, tireless dedication to her community, and the deep love she had for her family and friends.
