Mary "Sally" Araselia Osuna

Mary Araselia Osuna “Sally”, Age 73, was born on September 7,1951 in Aurora, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones in Guadalupe, Arizona. She was raised in Weslaco Texas then moved to Guadalupe, Arizona. She is preceded in death by husband Alfonso Lopez Osuna Sr., her parents: Alonzo Ortega and Irene Ruiz Regalado, Her Siblings: Rosalinda Villa, Diane Villa, Elsie Hernandez and her Great-grandson Ezekyel Roy Valenzuela. She is survived by her children Richard Sr. (Julia), Alfonso Jr. (Carmen), Angelica, Rosemarie (Miguel). Her grandchildren: Beatrice, Vanessa (Arturo), Richard Jr. (Adrianna), Arturo (Susana), Jacob Nathaniel, Isaac, Sixto, Oraya, Angelina, Andres, Antonio, Emilio (Natalie), Mercielisa, Alonzo, Rosalinda. Her Great-grandchildren: Ariza, Jeremy, Izayah, Juan V, Lillyana, Richard III, Annalise, Vivianna, Eliyanna. Her siblings: Olga Garza, Alonzo Ortega “Rudy”, Robert Regalado. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, cousins, godchildren and friends. Sally was a housewife, who cared for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had odd job to help her husband. She worked at Penmore as a seamstress, K-mart shipping and receiving, Dillard’s warehouse, JCPenney warehouse, and the last job was as a Childcare Provider with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe where she took care of all her grandchildren and a few of her great grandchildren.

Sally met her lifelong love Alfonso when she arrived from Texas with her parents and siblings to the Town of Guadalupe 63 years ago. They participated in the church group Legion of Mary.  She would always tell her children that her husband Alfonso would tell his friends “She is going to be my wife.”

Viewing will be at Legacy Funeral Home – Chandler, 1374 North Arizona Avenue, Chandler Arizona, on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5:00pm – 8pm with a Rosary at 6:30pm. On Friday, June 6, 2025 mass at 9:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe 5445 East Calle San Angelo, Guadalupe, Arizona. Burial to follow at Resthaven at 11am, 4310 East Southern Ave., Phoenix, Arizona. Celebration of Life Reception to follow at Santa Lucia Kitchen (Yaqui Hall) 5434 East Calle Iglesia, Guadalupe, Arizona.
