Sharon Louise Riffle
April 28th, 1945 - May 4th, 2025
Sharon Louise Riffle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on May 4, 2025, in Vail, Arizona. She was born on April 28, 1945, in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frances Louise (Means) and Kenneth M. Brooks.
Sharon married the love of her life, Thomas Riffle, in 1967. They were a military family, eventually bringing them and their two sons, Eric and Scott, to Phoenix, Arizona. As her health declined in later years, Thomas remained steadfastly devoted to her care and well-being.
Sharon graduated from Connellsville Joint High School in 1963. She fondly recalled her experience as a majorette there and remained friends with her fellow majorettes throughout her life. As a licensed practical nurse, she spent many satisfying years caring for others in her community.
First and foremost, Sharon was devoted to her family. She was an avid collector and sports fan. She spent time with her high school friends in Pennsylvania, RVed with Tom, visited their sons and families for many summers, and took fun trips to Las Vegas. Her sense of humor and wit were enjoyed by all who knew her.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Thomas; sons, Eric (Tara) and Scott (Christina); grandchildren, Samantha, Kailey, Megan, and Erin; brother, Richard K. Brooks, MD (Myrna); nephews, Michael, Brian, and Andy; and niece, Danielle.
